This McCleary cartoon is loosely copied from the Fairburn cartoon which was titled ‘A Tenth Rejected, or The Dandified Coxcomb in a Bandbox’ and has the same principle elements with almost identical speech bubbles. The Fairburn cartoon is dated 10th April 1824 while McCleary’s is undated. The cartoon, no.13 on the AMOT Index list, is in the collection of Nicholas K Robinson and was found on the Tara website.
